The 508 Touring wagon shares the same stylistic codes and fluid lines with its sedan counterpart. The LED rear lights demonstrate modernity, creating a unique design signature when illuminated. The Touring also benefits from a large panoramic glass roof which blends seamlessly with the windscreen and the aluminium roof bars further enhancing the flowing lines of the car.

Technology

Hands-free access and start-up With the 508 Touring, you have the opportunity of using electronic recognition (Hands-free access and start-up) rather than the traditional key (depending on the version). So, with the identifier still in your pocket (or handbag) you can access your vehicle, start it and stop it simply by using the Start/Stop button. The vehicle can be locked again on exiting simply by touching the door handle.

Parking Space Measurement System*
This function is coupled with the front and rear parking assistance. It measures the space available and indicates on the multifunction screen whether you can park there and the level of difficulty of the manoeuvre to be carried out.

Multi-functional steering wheel
The steering wheel with integrated controls is designed to be functional and technological. Drivers have access to the following functions: Cruise control, speed limiter, volume, configuration menu and source functions. The cruise control and speed limiter functions both allow you to pre-set up to 5 speeds.

The lightweight design, aerodynamics and, of course, Peugeot's technological expertise and innovation in the field of engines are factors that immediately place the 508 range among the segment's leaders. The 508 has undergone an extensive testing program, completing 2 million kms of road testing in real-life conditions prior to launch, ensuring its quality, reliability and durability is first-class.

Environmental efficiency was a pivotal concern from the very start of the 508's design via optimisation of aerodynamics (with a Cx from 0.257 and an SCx from 0.580) and weight. The 508's three available diesel engines and one petrol engine are particularly well positioned category in terms of fuel consumption and CO2 emissions, but also in terms of performance and responsiveness.

FAP particle filter

Every diesel engine generates particles. At Peugeot, we should know. Because we pioneered the use of particulate filters (FAP) in our diesels. FAP reduces particle emissions to barely measurable levels before they can escape into the environment. It works by trapping and burning these particles, which combine to form soot. What's more, the FAP particle filter is self cleaning and is virtually maintenance free, all without affecting the performance of your 508 Touring HDi.

Safety

The Peugeot 508 provides a high level of active and passive safety, offering optimum protection without compromising driving enjoyment.

The main beam assistance system (standard, optional or not available, depending on the version) detects oncoming traffic and will automatically switch the headlights from high beam to main beam and back again for the on-coming driver's visual comfort and your enhanced safety. This option is only available in conjunction with bi-Xenon headlights.

Bi-xenon headlamps

The 508 Touring can be equipped with directional bi-Xenon headlamps (standard, optional or not available depending on the version) offering: a modern and positive LED visual signature; adaptive main-beam headlamps; directional function.
