Sports leather seats
The leather seats in the 407 Coupé are designed to both communicate the sensations experienced by the driver and ensure that all passengers, both front and rear, are firmly supported. With the driver’s electric controls, you can accurately adjust your seat position and the position of the external mirrors. The driver's seat also comes with a memory function.
Cruise control + speed limiter
The cruise control function is a handy feature not just for long freeway journeys, but to keep you safe around town. It incorporates a clever speed limiter function to prevent you from exceeding a preset speed limit. All functions are intuatively accessed from a steering column mounted stalk.
Dual-zone climate control
To ensure everyone enjoys maximum comfort, the dual zone climate control allows you and your front passenger to adjust the temperature and air flow independently. Connected to a solar radiation sensor, the system also helps mitigate the effects of moving between bright sunlight and darkened areas such as tunnels.
Dashboard
Sit in the driver's seat and you'll soon notice that everything you need is right in front of you. The dash is the nerve centre of the 407 Coupe and houses all the chrome-edged dials, buttons and switches that sit seamlessly on stylish materials.

The 407 Coupé is bristling with technology designed to keep you safe, along with offering top-of-the-range comfort in an ultra dynamic car. Everything is designed to heighten the driver’s and passengers’ enjoyment of the ride.
Directional bi-Xenon headlights
No more blind spots. The 407 Coupe's directional headlights turn to match the rotation of the wheel and your speed, 'following' the corners, making night driving easier and safer. The bi-Xenon (for both normal or high beam) headlights have a light intensity 3 times stronger than a normal bulb.
JBL premium sound
The 407 Coupe is always an entertaining drive. But if you want a little musical accompaniment, the radio plus 6 disc CD stacker has a fantastic audio reproduction plus a Digital Signal Processor (DSP) to optimise the acoustics of your car. The premium JBL sound system is powered by a 240 Watt amplifier and a bass sub-woofer, giving you incredible sound throughout the passenger compartment with crisp, clear trebles and deep, firm bass notes.
Tyre pressure sensors
Under-inflated tyres are a well-known cause for accidents. To protect you, the 407 Coupe is equipped with tyre pressure sensors. The principle is simple: each wheel has a sensor which regularly measures variations in the pressure and temperature of the tyre. It detects any anomalies and alerts you straight away.
Multimedia
The optional RT4 multimedia system gives voice to your 407 Coupe : it is equipped with a 30GB hard disk, an MP3 compatible CD reader, a hands-free GSM telephone, a GPS satellite navigation system, a 10GB audio Jukebox function, an emergency call service and localised roadside assistance. All the functions of the RT4 can be accessed using a 3D 16/9 colour screen, as well as controls on the steering column stalk and voice recognition. (access to these services requires an operational SIM card with PIN number entered, placed in the RT4).
Front and rear parking sensors
As soon as you engage reverse gear, the door mirrors automatically tilt down to give a perfect view of your rear wheels. Then, should the discrete ultrasonic sensors on the front and rear bumpers detect that you're in danger of hitting an object, you'll be warned with audio and video signals on the multifunction colour display.
Auto headlights and wipers
Let there be light. You enter a tunnel, it's getting late, you run into dark clouds - the car's headlights will automatically switch on when light levels fall. Looks like rain? When the first drops start to fall the windscreen wipers will automatically be activated, and adapt their speed to match the intensity of the rain.
AMVAR electronic suspension
The variable damping system (AMVAR) electronically controls each wheel's damping independently, adapting the hardness of the ride every 2.5 milliseconds to suit your driving style. When cornering, braking or accelerating, the system automatically stiffens the suspension. It also limits pitching when you're driving in a straight line, effortlessly absorbing harsh road surfaces. The result of this technology is the smoothest ride possible - something you've come to expect from Peugeot.
Performance
As beautiful and refined as it is, the 407 Coupé wasn’t built simply to be admired in a showroom window. This is a real driver’s car, a technologically advanced coupé that’s engineered for the road.
Road holding
The 407 Coupe’s smooth, supremely agile ride comes from the double wishbone with uncoupled hub carrier front suspension (developed and perfected through our motor sport activities) and integral multi-arm rear suspension with horizontal dampers. This configuration combines with the excellent torsional rigidity of the body and lower centre of gravity to make the car hug the road and provide excellent stability.
Transmissions
The 6-speed transverse automatic transmission is the ultimate in gearbox technology: the first such gearbox able to handle generous loads of torque. It feature numerous innovations; integral electronic management for added performance and fuel economy, gradient calculation and steering wheel angle measurement to take the strain on steep hills or mountain roads, plus the Tiptronic system which give you fingertip controls over the gear changes, as and when you need it.
Twin turbo V6 HDi diesel
The V6 HDi diesel engine incorporates the very latest technology to produce 150kW of power and a massive 440 Nm of torque. Manufactured from a graphite, cast-iron block for lightness and rigidity, it's based on the common rail system with piezoelectric actuators. And it reduced fuel consumption without sacrificing performance. Power is supplied by two variable-geometry turbocharges and an intercooler. The result: outstanding torque performance and real driving pleasure.
Safety
Side reinforcements, 7 airbags, traction control… the 407 Coupé offers unrivalled protection to all occupants. EuroNcap tests unequivocally confirm this by awarding it a 5 star safety rating, with a record 16 points out of 16 obtained across all categories for adult frontal impact.
Front & rear park assist
The Parking Assistance warns you of the presence of an object or person nearby by using 10 ultrasound sensors distributed along the front and rear bumpers. Audio and/or visual signals are used to keep you informed of how close you are getting to the object.
Directional bi-Xenon headlights
To aid night driving, the 407 Coupé is fitted with xenon headlights that provide light intensity closer to that of daylight. Their life is also four times longer than the life of conventional headlights. The directional headlights provide maximum visibility on bends, with both main and high beams. Light direction varies with the angle of the steering wheel and with vehicle speed.
7 airbags
The 407 Coupé gives its occupants optimum protection. 7 airbags (including a driver's knee airbag) come standard, along with other passive safety features such as a front impact protection structure, side reinforcement bars, pyrotechnical front seatbelts with force limiters and a retractable steering column.
ESP
The 407 Coupé has exemplary road holding in emergency situations thanks to ESP - the electronic stability program that detects and corrects any under- or over-steer. The excellent rigidity of the 407 Coupé’s body also contributes to its exemplary road-holding. Its large-diameter, ventilated front and rear disc brakes are made even more effective by its anti-lock braking system (ABS) combined with electronic brake force distribution (EBFD) and emergency brake assist (EBA).
Electronic suspension
The 407 Coupé is fitted with AMVAR, an electronic suspension system which automatically adjusts suspension settings depending on road and driving conditions to deliver a smooth, assured ride.
